Bad Boy

I am a bad boy....

Growing up wondered what,
would I be when young & good at...

A soldier, explorer but
found most lucrative as me being a Pirate....

Set sail in the ocean, and face the free wind, waves many but few,
As I command my own ship with my own efficient crew..

Realized soon it was a career option no more for young men of my time,
But the kid I was believed this dream would come true & things will be fine...

Some said it was a wish inspired from a toy...
For others..I was just a bad boy

Drive a car, songs on loud.... nice
greatest feeling as I sing along on the top my voice…

Fun's what I was made for, just love partying
Friends around me, euphoria kicks in when also boozing…

Secret, god came down from heaven, helped when man first made liquor
Once inside, makes false self sleep, real self comes alive unsuppressed, extempore…

Some say, I am a spoiled guy
For others…I am just another bad boy

have been around the world
seen african, american, asian and everything else I could

learning, listening, watching....... analyzing
intellectual conversations, debates and rationalizing

wondering what is most beautiful, what I cherish most
eyes, smile ... confidence or being articulate foremost..,

lost in my imagination, stumbled upon, something incredible
look on a woman's face...no words spoken but her love unconcealed unequivocal...

Gold is this expression, Precious but very coy,
experience an unusal vicissitude, I feel I am no more a bad boy...

World Peace

Why do we persist ....our tirade to oust the possibility that humans can co-exist.

Is there a modern definition of wrong and right..
Or its just who can kill more and who wins the fight.

I understand the concept is subjective...
but its a blunder to assume one's own idea superlative.

respect other's opinion even if there isn't a tryst...
consider different perspective, view point before you raise your fist.

teaching's of all religions and democratic freedom...
much to learn and believe rather choose to ignore humanity and wisdom

why do we persist....our tirade to oust the possibility that humans can coexist.

man was gifted a beautiful mind...
intelligence, creativity, imagination virtues of different kind.

elements of earth, skillfully crafted...
on air, water or earth, little time and many miles traveled.

where do I go, world divided each wants a different section...
name of religion, color or creed; rage and hatred plenty with no concession.

willing to kill, such is extent of hostility...
forgotten is humility; forgotten is humanity.

why do we persist....our tirade to oust the possibility that humans can coexist.

I am possessed by vision of a perfect world...
peace and tranquility replace repugnance and everyone is loved

antipathy gasps and ever lasting harmony will take first breath...
burying differences man will save civilization from a certain violent death.

boundaries resolved; world will be one...
killing stopped, suffering ceased; salvation will begun

profundity of "saint of sabarmati's" thoughts and his each endeavor...
non-violence and tolerance most superior human virtues forever

we will persist... one day to realize it is possible for humans to co-exist.

Without my crutches

To all who have had a disability but stilled dared to dream.

All of them walked faster,All ran ahead,
I was always lagging behind,They left me…
And I was left alone,
Because…I can not walk without my crutches.

There was a good professional within me,
Everyone liked me,And for my work, everyone complemented me.
Now all that is past,What is left…., is a paralyzed me.
Because.... I can not walk without my crutches...

Everyone looks at me with pity in the eye,
No one considers me equal, Or important as they...
My words no more important,My advices not even worth a thought...
Because… I can not walk without my crutches…

I am not dead, I too am alive
I still exist…My life could not go in vain…
I still have a life to live… to plan …to decide… to earn…to enjoy…and to be happy again …
And I will do that without any help from those… who think,I am helpless, weak and disabled…
Because…I can not walk without my crutches.

I fight the disease with the rest of my health...
I fight the weakness of body…, With the strength of mind & soul,
Inspite of the softness of water, toughness of rocks & mountains,
Adamant river still finds a way to reach its destiny,
I fight to reach a destiny of my own...
cause…someday I will walk without my crutches... -
